This great room was built to accommodate a restored 1926 organ that came from the historic Stanley Theater in Newark. Behind the organ is a separate 15’ x 30’ climate-controlled room that contains the organ’s mechanics. A retractable movie screen above the fireplace is perfect for screening the owner’s collection of silent films (complete with appropriate organ music accompaniment) or newer cinematic offerings. This room is part of a new 7,500 square foot home. Its Victorian Gothic design is based on meticulous research of a mid-19th century style that was a revival of the original Gothic style popular in France and England in 12th – 15th centuries. It combines the clients’ love of church architecture and 19th century English homes.
